Today in class we were asked to do trial interviews. The topic of the interview was our experience with literacy, here it is:
My interviewee has had a well rounded experience. She lived in Brazil until she was six and started out learning how to read in Portuguese. When she came to the states her reading took off. She grew up in a religious family and read the many book of the bible. In elementary school she realized that in reading she would transport herself into the world of that novel or story. This has been the fuel of her love for reading, she enjoys being able to place herself in a story and escape her surroundings. One of her favorite series is the Harry Potter series. When it was read aloud to her by one of her teachers she was intrigued and still reads the series for pleasure but is now looking into the symbolism of religion due to her learning of college.
Thanks for interviewing me! You did a good job with integrating both conversation and your questions throughout the interview, and definitely created a rapport with me.
ReplyDeleteThe information in your summary is all accurate and true. Of significance is the Harry Potter series, in which I am reading a book on now, "Finding God in Harry Potter". This shows my liteary curiousity, and I am glad you were able to draw that out thoughout our interview.
Good job!
